Meeting the Highest Standards, Together.

The following steps are completed by all candidates registered to Chalk Healthcare to ensure they are fully compliant and able to work safely:

Minimum of 6 months UK based experience essential.

All mandatory training completed and renewed every 12 months.

Minimum of 2 references obtained covering the past 2 years; including most recent employment and at least 1 from a role working with young people or vulnerable adults.

Full employment and education history obtained, covering any gaps of three months or more.

Enhanced DBS certificate for ‘CHILD AND ADULT’ workforce. This must either be registered on the Update Service or issued through Chalk and within 12 months.

Barred list (list 99) checked through enhanced DBS and renewed every six months.

DBS Update Service checks are renewed every six months.

Nurses are required to provide proof of their NMC PIN. This will be re-checked every 6 months.

All original documents to confirm identity, right to work, proof of address, national insurance and qualifications seen and checked.

Right to work checks for overseas workers completed through Home Office online service.

In the instance that a candidate has a conviction/caution on their DBS a risk assessment is completed and signed off by the manager. Any provision they work in will be notified.

Vetting phone call followed by interview (in person or via video call) to confirm suitability.

Continual feedback, support and training offered to candidates.
