Are you an experienced leader within children’s residential care, passionate about creating safe, nurturing, and therapeutic environments for young people?

An inclusive, supportive, and values-driven organisation providing care and education to children and young people with Learning Disabilities and associated social and health needs are looking for a Registered Manager & Deputy Manager who share the ethos and is motivated to make a difference in the lives of children and young people.

The Role: Registered Manager

You will be responsible for the overall management of the home, its operations, and resources, ensuring a high-quality, compliant, and values-based service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the residential home in line with regulatory standards and statutory guidance
  • Ensure exceptional levels of safeguarding, care, and support
  • Manage and mentor staff, including supervision, development, and performance
  • Oversee budgets, resources, and daily operational delivery
  • Ensure individualised, trauma-informed care planning
  • Promote a positive, resilient, and team-focused workplace culture
  • Drive continuous improvement across all areas of the service

Duties may be updated in accordance with service development.

Essential Requirements

  • Must be 21 years old or over
  • Minimum 1 year experience supporting children/young people with Learning Disabilities
  • At least 1 year management experience in Residential Childcare or a similar setting
  • Level 5 Health and Social Care – Children and Young People (required)
  • Experience working directly with children/young people within 2 of the last 5 years

Preferred

  • GCSE or equivalent qualifications
  • Strong understanding of trauma-informed practice
