About the Role:
We are looking for experienced Support Workers to join a network of leading care providers in Mansfield surrounding area's on a temporary basis. In this rewarding role, you will contribute to creating a warm, nurturing environment where residents feel safe, valued, and empowered to live their lives to the fullest. Your efforts will directly impact their well-being and help them thrive in a supportive, person-centred setting.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting individuals with their daily living activities, including medication, meals, shopping, budgeting, household tasks, and may also include personal care.
- Encourage social inclusion and confidence in the community.
- Monitor and promote individuals physical and mental wellbeing.
- Promote and model positive routines.
- Respond promptly and appropriately to incidents, safeguarding concerns, or emergencies, in line with policies and procedures.
- Administer first aid and medication where required, in accordance with training and guidelines.
- Deliver consistent, high-quality care in line with each young person’s placement plan and individual care plan.
- Complete accurate and timely records, including Daily logs, key work documentation, and incident reports.
- Support the young person’s education, physical health, and emotional wellbeing.
- Undertake domestic duties to help maintain a safe and homely environment, including cooking, cleaning, and shopping.
Candidate Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year experience in a Supported Living setting
- Be comfortable working on a 1:1, 2:1, 3:1 basis
- Engagement with residents and engaging with activities
- A caring, compassionate, and empathetic attitude
- Excellent timekeeping and communication skills
- Ability to follow instructions and maintain accurate records
- Flexible approach, sensitive to the needs of residents
- Ability to build positive relationships with residents and their families
- Medication training is beneficial but not essential
- A valid UK driving license is required as you will be expected to travel between different care clients
- Have experience working with challenging behaviours and positive behaviour Support
